Mascot of 2011 IIHF World Championship, Slovakia - Goooly the wolf, began his successful tour of the semifinal playoff games of ice hockey Slovnaft league in Slovak ice hockey arenas.
He had a huge success Sunday in Košice in the first semifinal playoff game between HC Kosice and Dukla Trenčín. "Right after he came to the arena he became a star of audience, especially the smallest ones. All of them wanted to be photographed with him. Fans were very thankful that he visited Košice. At the beginning of the match he dropped the first face-off and later together with around 7000 spectators he watched the victory of Košice 9:1," said Petr Handl, Head of Organizing Committee 2011 IIHF WM in Košice.
Mascot Goooly will also come to other cities as Poprad, Trenčín and Banská Bystrica. You can see him Tuesday at the semifinal game between HK Poprad and HC`05 Banská Bystrica.
